New EP Alert: John Summit’s ‘Touch Me,’ Out Now on Psycho Disco!

While John Summit has only released about ten tracks, he is certainly not a force to be trifled with. Boasting releases on labels like Toolroom, Perfect Driver, Laser Native, Hood Politics, and now Psycho Disco!, this producer is one to keep your eyes and ears on. Psycho Disco! is the Atlanta-based record label of heavyweight Treasure Fingers, that has released the likes of our very own DMNW-alum Kendoll, GAWP (who we’ve recently interviewed a couple of times), Zendlo, Sage Armstrong, Astronomar, and more!

We were recently blown away by his Toolroom release collaboration with Brazilian legend and Psycho Disco! alum MKJAY. It’s a face-melting tech house roller the likes of which you might only find on a industry giant imprint like Toolroom. We love the bass that sounds like a voice, and we can’t get enough of this one!

John does an excellent job of combining the driving energy of techno and house with his own signature psychedelic minimal approach. His latest EP confidently orchestrates soundscapes of dancing energy, emblazoning vocals as both percussive and magnetic elements. Despite not meeting the producer, we get a great vibe from his humble energy and care for his art.

The EPs title track Touch Me is a fiery rolling tech house banger, one Insomniac describes as “…a big-energy, peak-time tech house thumper.” On the B-side, Summit delves more into the the realms of acid house on the aptly titled Acid Emergency. Both tracks flaunt thick basslines that will get the party started, whether it’s a mainstage house act, house party, or swathed in the comfort of some plushy studio headphones.

You can stream the Touch Me EP for free on SoundCloud, or stream/download from the platform of your choice. And of course, please support the artist by following him on his socials!
