Dubstep + Drum & Bass

Snails:
Based out of Montreal, Snails is an artist pushing the boundaries of the dubstep sound, combining trap rhythms with dirty basslines. He first made his debut in 2012 with tracks released on Kannibalen Records. Since then Snails has gone on to produce tracks such as Dirty Raxxx, RBBR, and SLUGZ, which blend hypnotic melodies, huge drops, and mind-bending sample manipulation into a tight, dance-floor friendly package.

Snails’ latest track, Wild, co-produced with Antiserum and released on Skrillex’s Owsla Records, was one of the standout tracks at Ultra Music Festival back in 2014. Snails is bringing his unique blend of bass and trap to the beautiful Gorge, that will surely melt some faces!

Seven Lions:
Also known as Jeff Montalvo, Seven Lions is an American artist hailing from California but recently transplanted to Seattle. Making his debut in 2010, Seven Lions has created a veritable cornucopia of sound blending trance with dubstep, drum and bass with glitch hop, and electro house with future bass.

He pushes the boundaries of traditional genres creating one of the most unique sounds in all of dance music. His breakout hit was a remix of Above & Beyond’s You Got to Go, which was created after he won the official remix contest. The remix showcased his hybrid style in full effect, garnering him attention from the trance trio.

It also sat at #2 on the Beatport dubstep charts. Since then, Seven Lions has been taking the scene by storm with popular tracks like Strangers, World’s Apart, and more recently, Rush Over Me. With his sprawling, uplifting melodies and a dark, brooding bassline mixed with ethereal vocals, Seven Lions is tapped as one of the most unique and emotional sets you’ll see at Paradiso this year.

Boombox Cartel
Boombox Cartel consists of Americo Garcia and Jorge Medina, two Mexico-born artists that met during their time at a Minneapolis music school. They quickly realized that they had something special, and have taken off quickly since then. This duo is no stranger to the PNW, having played Bass Academy 2016 among many other local shows.

These two bring a whole new type of energy with them to their shows, regularly bringing audiences to their knees! If you have any thought at all about seeing Boombox Cartel at Diso 2017, do not hesitate.

Andy C
As one of the forefathers of the drum & bass scene as we know it, it’s safe to say that Andy C is an absolute legend. The Ram Records label boss has made a point to make his way up to the Northwest often too, making it so we’re never starved for his iconic brand of DnB.

Zeds Dead:
Zeds Dead is a Canadian Duo hailing from Toronto. The group consists of members Dylan Mamid, also known as DC, and Zachary Rapp-Rovan, also known as Hooks. The group started out back in 2010 on Myspace, and quickly rose to prominence with their musical diversity consisting of UK Garage, Electro House, Hip-Hop, Glitch and Drum N Bass.

The duo released their first studio album through Diplo’s record label Mad Decent in 2012. They released their second studio album on Ultra Records. Following their success from 2012, the duo went on to release two more studio albums in 2013 and 2014 both through Mad Decent. In 2016, Zeds Dead launched their own record label called Northern Lights.

Barely Alive B2B Virtual Riot

One of a handful of hotly-anticipated b2b’s at the Wreckage Stage, Barely Alive and Virtual Riot’s tag-team performance will easily be one of the highlights of Paradiso 2017. Expect plenty of heavy-hitting dubstep, filthy electro, and everything in between, for a set that’s just about guaranteed to melt faces in the summer sun.

Kayzo
Kayzo got his start in 2012 when he was the winner of Insomniac’s ‘Discovery Project,’ which gave him the opportunity to play Escape from Wonderland. He has been on the constant rise ever since, and as far as we can tell, there is no end in sight. Don’t miss Kayzo playing at the Wreckage Stage this summer!

Bleep Bloop B2B Alix Perez

Also regulars at Shambhala, Bleep Bloop and Alix Perez bring a sound to the table like no other you’ll see at Paradiso this year. Anything in the realm of weird bass and off-tempo perfection is on the table for this b2b, so be prepared to buckle in!

Camo & Crooked
Hailing from Vienna, Austria, Camo & Crooked’s prettier brand of drum & bass is the perfect complement to the wealth of heavier music we’ll be seeing at the Wreckage. It’s safe to say you’ll be headbanging just as much as grooving out, for a combination that scratches every conceivable musical itch you might have.

Flux Pavilion B2B Doctor P

Two of the biggest names in dubstep are coming together on one stage! In the past, Flux Pavilion and Doctor P would only step in for a b2b at Ultra Music Festival in Miami, making it that much more of a treat to see them together at Paradiso. The Circus Records co-owners number themselves among the elite of the UK bass scene, and we’re lucky to have them at the Gorge this year!

Getter
After recently unveiling his rap alias, Terror Reid, Getter has found himself in the headlines regularly. That said, his hard-hitting brand of dubstep and diverse musical offerings always make for an entertaining live performance. Strap in, because his set this year at Paradiso is likely to be one of your favorites!

Curating a new type of bass called Tomato Bass, Spag Heddy has been appealing to lovers of food and music with his whimsical food related tracks, and a fun gang of supporters.

The Spaghetti Monster has released tracks through both Never Say Die and Buygore, and will bring his fun personality, and entertaining tracks to the Wreckage this summer.

Just about every new release of his finds itself played out across every festival, as a testament to his ear for catchy bass that appeals to all audiences. The UK legend has become a regular performer at Paradiso, and we can’t wait to catch him again latert his month!
