The Pegboard Nerds we’re typically accustomed to resides somewhere in “dirty dubstep” category, with explosive remixes that pair with their head-banging originals. With their newest remix of MisterWives’ Coffins, they’ve ventured into some brand new territory.
It opens with a twangy overlay, transitioning straight into MisterWives’ crooning, “I gave my hand for you to hold/I gave my love that you went and sold.” The intro carries with it the indie/folk vibes of the original track, dropping straight into a rhythmic drum & bass build followed by a trappy snare drop that blends seamlessly.
