Protohype Cancels Tour Due To Debilitating Medical Condition

Dubstep artist Protohype, aka Max Hype, took to Twitter on August 6th to announce that he needs to take a break from touring, at least, for the time being so he can focus on his health.

Over the last two years, he has been experiencing progressively worsening nerve damage, which his doctors tell him is reversible if he takes some time away from touring. In total, he will have taken three months off. By the end of August, pending a physical evaluation, he may be getting back on the road.

What does this mean for his upcoming performance slot at Bass Canyon? Ever since he broke the news on Twitter, there’s been an outpouring of support from fans, many of whom had questions. Protohype responded to a fan’s question about Bass Canyon. From the sounds of it, he will do everything in his power to be there. All of here at DMNW wish him a speedy recovery and hope that he can return to the stage soon.
