Resurrection Sunday: Calvin Harris – “Acceptable in the 80’s”

Who remembers the Calvin Harris who “created disco?” Throwback to 2007, when Harris was producing funky, out-right bizarre creations and had even weirder music videos to accompany them – we’re bringing back “Acceptable In The 80’s.” This is the song that sky-rocketed Calvin Harris’ music career in the United Kingdom and landed him on the #10 position on the UK singles chart!

The music video features the stereotypical large hairstyles, bright colors, and bizarrely dressed scientists dissecting a stuffed otter. Inside the otter contains ingredients for products of which are used by a hair stylist, TV chef, and to heal wounds –  this may be a reference to the fact that testing cosmetic products on animals was still legal in the UK in the 1980s. Hence, “Acceptable In The 80’s!”
