Over the past few years, from performing with acts like Tech N9ne and Kanye West, to performing with both a DJ as well as a full band, Kendrick Lamar has had headlining spots all over the country. Although the start of Kendrick’s set was delayed, when he did take the Mt. Currie stage, it was well worth it. Backed at the festival with a full band, Kendrick performed all of his hits from recent years, as well as hits from other rappers. His full band was able to start, stop, and mix without hesitation, and were on point through the whole set. Live hip-hop sets are becoming very rare nowadays. Kendrick and his full band performed in such a unique way. It was one of the highlights (and surprises) of the entire duration of the festival.
