Slushii shuts down WSU with Up and Up Festival (Review)

Up and Up festival does it again! The student-run festival and competition returned to WSU last week. Washington State University was one out of six colleges that won the competition this semester. Students have months to promote the event and whichever college sells the most tickets in 48 hours, wins!

WSU had it in the bag, not new to winning the Up and Up festival, having won concerts from Cash Cash, and Alan Walker. This year, the students worked hard on getting a dance music favorite, Slushii to the Palouse.

The show kicked off with WSU students being the openers for the show. 3 sets before the main act. This is an opportunity that many students had been looking forward and once in a lifetime experience. Students worked hard on prepping for their sets for the Up and Up festival and it shows. The crowd was jumping and dancing the second the doors opened.

Even though it was a rainy day in Pullman, that did not stop the crowd. The crowd packed out for Slushii’s set. He played a hard-hitting set with void sound system throughout. The sound was so loud that the show got shut down 15 minutes before it was supposed to end. Noise complaints came in from miles away! That’s when you know you threw you successful party.

Keep an eye out for Up and Up in the upcoming school year, who knows, maybe your favorite artist will be right on your campus in a couple of months!
