[highlight]Armin van Buuren @ ASOT Stage[/highlight]
Another artist who made our list that’s headlining Paradiso 2015 (we’re just a little excited) is Armin van Buuren. His set at the ‘A State of Trance’ stage at Ultra Music Festival this spring was a breath of fresh air for trance fans around the world. It can become easy to expect and get used to the feel and quality of Armin’s sets while getting lost in his weekly ASOT radio show. But, it was clearly apparent that this set at the ASOT stage was special, and we’re hoping for a similar affect when Armin visits The Gorge later this month.
A classic combination of mash-ups, collabs, original tunes, and trance tunes from the best in the business, this set has it all. Even including a little Gaia in the set, Armin was really just showing off. There’s plenty of Armin sets and mixes to enjoy out there, but this one stands out from the rest.

[highlight]Eric Prydz[/highlight]
The legendary Eric Prydz doesn’t catch everyone’s fancy. While he has the respect of artists and fans alike throughout dance music, many aren’t able to dive into Prydz style of show. Others though, are drawn in by his attention to detail and masterful managing of the atmosphere surrounding his song selection. While the opinion on the tech house visionary may be somewhat divided, there’s no denying that his Ultra 2015 set is one of the best we’ve been treated to this festival season.
A Prydz fan’s wet dream, the Swedish artist put together a 15-track set over his 90-minutes, showing us every side of him by playing tunes from aliases Pryda and Cirez D in addition to Eric Prydz originals. If you’re a Prydz-doubter or haven’t given him a chance yet, this set is as good a place to start your education as any.

The dude is killing it, and having a list of successful anything in dance music in recent years that doesn’t include Skrillex would be doing a disservice to just how hot Sonny Moore is right now. Since releasing his latest solo-album, Recess, in early-2014, Skrillex has seen a wave of success that has become all too regular for the six-time Grammy Award winner. With his countless performances, we had plenty of Skrillex sets to choose from for this list, including his insane set from Ultra Music Festival. But in the end, a set that included, according to YourEDM “an astonishing 94 tracks (including a capellas and double drops) in a 90 minute set” had to take the cake. Skrill goes FULL FLEX on this set, and it’s definitely one of the best of the summer thus far.
We’ve been enjoying his tunes and live-sets, both alone and with collaboration project Jack Ü, but we’re ready to make some memories of our own with the dubstep demigod this summer. Northwest fans will have as good a chance as they’ve had in recent memory to do so, with Skrillex performing at Paradiso and Shambhala, as well as with Diplo as Jack Ü at Pemberton Music Festival, this summer.
