4. Hula hoops and poi are allowed inside but gloves are NOT

This is an interesting year for light artists at EDC. Hula hoops are allowed inside, and poi is allowed as long as it is only used 5’ away from others. (You can find this information in the booklet that came in your ticket package you received in the mail.) There hasn’t been any information released as to whether or not orbits will be allowed in, and unfortunately, gloves will not be allowed inside this year. That being said, anything glowing on your costume is acceptable!

Gloving EDC 2014

Sorry glovers, not this year.

5. Flags cannot have company or corporate logos and must have wooden poles

Flags are an extremely popular item for festival goers, but if you are thinking of taking one, you may want to check the rules. Flags are not allowed to have company or corporate logos on them, and the online information encourages “homemade designs”. When asked via Twitter about flag poles, Pasquale Rotella responded, “Yep, as long as they’re non-metal.” So raise your flags high and proudly! Just make sure to follows the rules.
