“Why We DJ – Slaves To The Rhythm”, is the title of the brand new documentary that DJsounds recently released. In this documentary, it digs deep into the lives of touring DJs. With interviews and appearances by Carl Cox, Luciano, Seth Troxler, Erick Morillo, and Pete Tong, plus many other music industry individuals, we learn what it is like being a traveling DJ.

We knew the touring life was never easy, performing late sets and catching red-eye flights, with no real sleep schedule and surrounded by the entertainment nightlife 24/7. The documentary pinpoint a topic that we sometimes forget about, the dark side of the dance music world. The dark times follow many DJs once they step down from the bright lights. This documentary is a masterpiece in capturing all the behind the scenes that we didn’t know about.
