10 EDC-Las Vegas 2015 Sets For The Northwest Raver

[divider]AARON JACKSON[/divider]

Eugene, Ore.-native Aaron Jackson is one of the Northwest artists who’s been spreading his name and sound far beyond our corner of the country. He has, of course, performed throughout the Northwest, and has worked with Insomniac a couple times now, performing at Nocturnal Wonderland last year and getting booked for the biggest performance of his bright, young career at EDC – Las Vegas 2015. His brand of UK Garage and Bass House is made for the dancefloor, and his original tunes are nothing to ignore, either.

His weekend in Vegas will be made even more special, as he’ll be getting married as well. On top of all of that, Jackson has managed to find time to expand his work with Audiophile XXL, a sub-label of Audiophile Records focused on bass-heavy house tunes. Representing the up-and-coming scene of quality artists coming out of the Northwest at EDC this summer, catch Aaron Jackson’s set and show him the love he deserves.

[divider]NEELIX[/divider]

We know that Neelix recently performed in the Northwest, making his Seattle-debut at Lucky 2015. But, with his set coming at a time full of conflicts, EDC is the perfect chance for redemption for any Northwest raver who missed out on Neelix; he’s an artist that every fan of dance music should take the chance to see. The German-native is a trance family favorite, who’s style of psy-trance is perfect for club and festival atmospheres alike. There are many who are disappointed, not in the quality, but in the quantity of trance acts at Paradiso 2015. If you fit in that category and are also going to EDC, you’d better be taking the time to catch Neelix. His set at Lucky this spring was one of our favorites of the festival, and we’ll take every chance to see Neelix that we can.

[divider]GREEN VELVET & CLAUDE VONSTROKE: GET REAL[/divider]

A fantastic treat that will catch the attention of more than just the tech house fans visiting Las Vegas this summer, sets from acts like Get Real are what help make festivals like EDC the massives that they are. The combination of dance music legends Green Velvet and Claude VonStroke, Get Real is what happens when the obviously incredible come together by accident. Like peanut-butter & jelly, Green Velvet & Claude VonStroke compliment each other in the best ways, while sufficiently showcasing their individual talents.

Northwest ravers will have a chance to have their PB & J in separate doses, should they not be attending EDC. Green Velvet will be playing at Paradiso 2015, while Claude VonStroke is headlining Seattle’s very own Dirtybird BBQ in early-July. Hopefully the Northwest will get their chance to witness Get Real soon, though, as the project is relatively young. The duo went on their first three-stop tour in late-December of 2014, and if their set at EDC is as spectacular as we expect, we’re betting there’s more on the way.
