Sunset Sessions Heated Up Labor Day Weekend [Review]

Anjunadeep fans from all over congregated this past Labor Day Weekend in sunny Las Vegas for one heck of a fun evening that we wish would have lasted forever. Elation and the North American Trance Alliance brought us the likes of 16BL, Jody Wisternoff, and Matt Lange on top of the Downtown Grand Hotel for the first Sunset Sessions.

Upon entering the venue, we were immediately greeted by smiling faces, a beautiful stage, and a cooling pool with fun inflatables…including a giant unicorn. Furthermore, it was a beautiful day and we were already feeling the good vibes.

The evening promptly kicked off with the crowd entering to a fun set from Nico Eats. Things were off to a great start as the sun was setting over the desert hills. In order to beat the heat, attendees gathered in and around the pool and simply took in the amazing music pounding from the speakers.

As soon as Matt Lange hit the stage, a large fan-base rallied and the shufflers came out in full force. Needless to say, we knew already we were in for an amazing night. Not only was there Anjunadeep artists playing, but activities surrounded the pool like corn hole and fun photo opportunities for the likes of everyone to enjoy.

As it became dark and neon glow from surrounding buildings lit up the sky, 16BL hit the decks with the sounds of pure bliss streaming out the speakers.  Deep beats and trance-like vibes surrounded us which was felt “Deep In My Soul” while dancing to the tune. A full hour and a half set went by all too quickly but attendees enjoyed every minute of it.

Next thing we knew, Jody took the stage full-steam ahead as the crowd cheered and energy levels rose even more. There’s something to say about DJ’s that aren’t constantly on the mic…everyone simply enjoyed the music. That’s all there was to it.

Everything from the event itself, the staff at the venue, and of course the artists was top-notch that night. Each and every person was nothing but all smiles throughout the evening; dancing the night away. There was no better way to close out the summer than to be jamming to the sounds of Anjunadeep.

Lover of all things electronic. As a previous lead singer her music roots run deep and appreciation for all genres and artists runs high. She can be found dancing and singing along to the likes of Alesso, Hardwell, and Dash Berlin. Most awkward EDM moment? Watching Borgore sing karaoke.
