OWSLA product Alvin Risk has a style that makes him practically perfect for a virtual reality. From his horn-rimmed glasses to his signature cardigan, Risk belongs in a videogame. In his newest music video for ZOOM!, he enlists the help of internet sensation Nyan Cat for an 8-bit adventure replete with motorcycles, aliens, and so much more.
The synthy, upbeat vibe of ZOOM! blends seamlessly with the videogame universe created by none other than Nyan Cat creator Chris Torres. An 8-bit Risk shows up on a motorcycle, as every imaginable incarnation of Nyan Cat streaks through sky, making for a welcome relief from the darker, more serious undertones that follow all too many music videos.
Nyan Cat may not be joining (as far as we know), but Alvin Risk will be passing through Seattle at Foundation Nightclub on January 17th. Head over here for tickets and more info!
