When Girl Talk burst on to the scene years ago, mashup DJing was beginning to take off. His frenetic sampling style made him world famous, as he began to grace festival stages and clubs alike, all while giving away his music for free. Fast forward to today, and Dead Pop Stars Society is following in his stylistic footsteps with their new self-titled album.
From the word go, we hear echoes of that classic Girl Talk sound, as it jumps from old school hip hop, to pop, to EDM seamlessly from track to track.
