Flume and Chet Faker Say “This Song Is Not About A Girl”

More material from the collaborative project between Flume and Chet Faker has been released. This Song Is Not About a Girl will make you re-assess any casted predictions about the sounds they make together. Click play and you’ll experience a soothing rush of melancholia with a beat that knocks. Faker’s voice transforms throughout the song, the sound quality of his vocals reminiscent of a bad telephone connection at the beginning. After the song’s syrupy drop, his vocals clear and his words become understandable. His romantic coos infiltrate the barrier surrounding your heart and make you empathize with the song’s frosty pain. Both This Song Is Not About A Girl and Drop The Game will appear on the duo’s Lockjaw EP which will come out November 22nd via Future Classic. You can pre-order it here.
