Above & Beyond surprises fans with unexpected Gorge Weekender in 2023

Above & Beyond has announced a 2023 return to the Gorge with Group Therapy Weekender set for July 21-23.

The announcement was initially teased in a 10 second video overlooking the iconic outdoor venue last Friday. Initially, it had many of us curious, since Above & Beyond’s Gorge event typically happens every other year, with the most recent occurrence being this past summer. Some guessed that it could be an Acoustic III show, since it had be put off by the pandemic.

With the announcement, the trio explained that for much of 2023, they will be locked into studio mode churning out new music. This means no major Group Therapy milestone show for 2023, leaving the Gorge to be the biggest Anjunafam gathering of next year. The next big milestone show will be in 2024 in the form of ABGT600 (location to be announced).

Our gathering at The Gorge is a bi-annual affair, but we’ve decided to bring the next one forward a year! For much of 2023 we’ll be locked away in the studio working on new music, which means we’ve decided not to do a major Group Therapy milestone show next year. – A&B
