Happy Violence and Seattle Love With Dada Life, Part I (Exclusive Interview)

Dada Life has a very special for place in their heart for Seattle. Stefan recalled all the times that they had visited Seattle and made so many memories at Freaknight and even shooting their music video for Kick Out the Epic Mother-Fucker. But why our fair city?

“We can see that they love the music and they’re so in to this whole scene, So having that [Freaknight], like, in the back and then doing this Compound is like it’s just this amazing feeling. It’s just ridiculous that people come just to see you and have fun. We love to make people have fun. For the Dada Land Voyage it was just two days camping and 10,000 people came. It was just ridiculous. So, after the whole show we actually went on golf carts in the camping area at 4 am and people were, some people were still awake and we went through the camp ground back and forth and just hugged them and talked to them. It’s because of them, we can do this. So we just wanted to be with them and say hi.”

Dada loves their citizens, and we love our presidents back

Stefan says that every time that Dada Life comes to play, the feeling is almost unexplainable. The entire time that Stefan was on stage he was smiling because he is having such a great time. He likes to think of all the fans as his friends and says that it is an amazing feeling to make all your friends happy. Way to go Seattle. That is how much love you have given to Dada and they can feel it.

“It hard to describe. What it looks like, because, for us the Compound, it’s our baby. We can do what ever we want to do… It’s a wonderful feeling. It’s like being with your best friends and just having a blast. For me when I’m up there, I’m smiling the whole time because I’m having so much fun. So it’s like, I don’t know, you feel blessed that you can do this kind of stuff that we do.”

Stefan’s sentiments echo ours, as we too feel that we’re insanely blessed to be involved in this amazing community. Stefan enjoyed being able to recount some of what they’ve been able to accomplish. Gaining a Guinness World Record was surreal for them as he remembered reading the giant tome when he was younger. They also had an incredible experience flying in on a hot air balloon to their own headlining show.
