Week by week we’ve been seeing releases from KOAN Sound and Asa’s new EP entitled “Sanctuary,” and after long last it’s finally here. As they’ve shown us, it’s a gigantic step away from KOAN’s normal glitchy up-tempo fare, and yet still represents a skillfully executed evolution into a mellower, more ethereal sound. Taking from Asa’s more calmed-down vibe, “Sanctuary” is an EP practically designed for the serenity of the fall season as the leaves change and the weather gets just a little bit colder.
