DMNW: Who is behind Sooo WET , where do you live and when did Sooo WET begin?

Sooo WET: “It all started with an old rice-krispie box, a walking stick from the forest of the legendary Shambhala Music Festival, some zebra and lime-green duct tape, and a pocketful of wet dreams. For those who know, Shambhala is a place where dreams begin. The year was 2012, and it was another incredibly sexy day at the festival when the sign was born. Shambhala is a place of many signs and totems, and it became clear that it was our time. As the marker collided with the old cardboard krispie box, the words “Sooo WET” wrote themselves as if it was a sign from Poseidon, God of all things wet. They say that all great things in life start with small moments, and we believe that this was one of those moments. We live in Canada.

DMNW: What was your intention behind Sooo WET when you began? Did you just make a cool sign and it just began to grow? What’s the deal?

SW: “Our intentions? I guess we never really had any when we started… but now the sign seems to have a mind of its own that continues to expand beyond our belief. Nowadays, you’ll know when the tidal wave of beauty that is the Sooo WET crew hits the dance-floor and geysers of joy are erupting all around you. What started as a sign has become so much more through all the amazing people that we have met, partied, and danced with along the way. We have learned that people really love getting and being wet, they embrace it and rejoice, much like ourselves! We have lived by this philosophy for our entire lives, and it’s now as though we are preaching it to the world. The incredible response from people all over the globe has given us no choice but to continue spreading the wetness far and wide. Get wet or dry tryin’!”

DMNW:  Can anyone be a part of the Sooo WET crew? Or is it exclusive?

SW: “Oh yeah baby, come join! @officialsooowet (IG)”

DMNW: What festivals will you be at this year?

SW: Good question. It’s hard to say this far in advance, but so far the plans are: Cosmic Convergence (Guatemala), Primavera Sound (UK), Sonar (UK), Astral Harvest (CAN), Bass Coast (CAN), Pemberton (CAN), Shambhala (CAN), Sasquatch (US), Burning Man (US), Dirtybird Camp-out (US).

DMNW :  How do you attend so many festivals?!

SW: The total amount of water on the earth is about 326 million cubic miles. That’s wet! And up to 60% of the human adult body is water. So I guess you could say the wetness is everywhere, even inside each and every one of us!

DMNW: If you could only bring 3 things to a festival, what would they be?

SW: The wetness, the love, and the party!

DMNW: Favourite set right meow?

SW: The Sooo WET mixtape!

Seriously, give that mix a listen because it dripping in goodness. The Sooo WET gang is nothing but gold in our opinion. If your festival crew has got you down, it’s time to give them a soak down – or better yet just join the Sooo WET crew, we’re sure they would be more than happy to have you.

Still a little bit confused about Sooo WET really means? It seems like Sooo WET can mean whatever you want it to be. We imagine it as that feeling when your entire heart and body melts into the dance floor and your soul seems to be floating to another universe.

Are you ready to get Sooo WET this summer? Be sure to gives these guys a follow on the good old Instagram @officialsooowet to keep up with all the shenanigans to come. Also be sure to smother these hooligans with love the next time you see them. Did we also mention they will be dropping a clothing line in the very near future?! BE SURE TO CHECK THAT OUT TOO.
