This winter seemed to create some sadness and anger in the world of EDM. At one point it seemed like the trance family might be getting divorced. Everyone was complaining about DJ’s “selling out.” Avicii announced his retirement plus the beloved Pumpkin was taken from our community way too soon. Although all these things are indeed very sad, it’s time to throw all this negative energy out the window.

The sun is shining, the festival lineups keep rolling out, and Coachella just happened – meaning festival season has begun! Everything seems right in the world. It’s time to start surfacing all the things that ooze happiness, and there is no better place to begin than with the Sooo WET gang because they guys are nothing but pure positivity.

Let’s go on a journey back to the summer of 2015. A few of us at DMNW were bopping around at Bass Coast and we caught a glimmer of a beautifully mysterious sign, “Sooo WET” it said. The sign seemed to be womping along to the bass. The crew beneath the sign seemed to be engulfed in a tsunami of shake your butt heaven. Wow. This crew was down for the party. But who were they?

The next weekend; we were jamming at Pemberton Music Festival and the mysterious sign appears again. Shit. There’s those kids are again just jiving away. What could this mysterious sign mean? Did it give them dance super powers?

Again, a few weeks later at Shambhala, it seemed like that damn Sooo WET sign never left our vision. Who are these magical unicorns? Could it be that this Sooo WET crew had the same unhealthy obsession with all things partying and festivals just like us?

Chances are if you’ve attended a music festival in the PNW, you have seen Sooo WET in action and perhaps wondered who these gems are. We finally got a chance to chat with them this week and truly find out the meaning behind Sooo WET. Keep reading as we give you the raw interview.
