A-Trak & Oliver Release Zamboni

A-Trak & Fools Good Associate Oliver have joined together and released a new take on the EDM scene titled Zamboni. It’s an action packed track which feels science-fiction fuled and exuberantly athletic. Adrenaline soaked, and eager for battle, this music meant to tear down houses and indeed it does. Zamboni will get the party crunk, guaranteed. As of yet, this track is only a one off collaboration between A-Trak and Oliver with no word in sight of a possible collaboration with this song spearheading something like a full length album. Instead we have to imagine what this  single means for the world of EDM. The genre one could try to label this track with is 00’s euro-dance music with splashes of down and dirty dubstep, which, most assuredly, take this song into the party zone.

Together, A-Trak and Oliver have constructed a care-free shuffle that is both parts brainless fun and full sounds that unconsciously stimulate your brain no matter how much to try and shut it off. Luckily, these sounds feel rhythmically integral to the song’s structure (we’re talking A-Trak after all) and also elevate it from your usual EDM –ahem– fools gold. If Somebody told me track was recorded live from nightclubs in the future, and I would sincerely believe them. It’s a fantastic vision of whats in store for dubstep, house, trance, dance and even the entire EDM sound and it’s place in culture. Hopefully every other fedora-wearing DJ will have A-Trak and Oliver’s fantastic forethought when it comes to a sense of purpose for the music they contribute to a culture, or else how will they be able to compete?
