Wax Motif Invades the Coast

It’s hard to put your finger on it, but there’s something that invariably attracts some of the most accomplished artists in the world of dance music to the neon triangle that is Seattle, Vancouver, and Victoria. Maybe it’s the lack of snow or the abundance of adoring fans, but whatever it is we should be thankful for the amount of raw talent that seems to find its way to our corner of the globe. This time around, house heads take note, because the PNW is going to be dropping it down low and picking it up slow as Australia’s Wax Motif takes a stroll through the Wet Coast.

We previously introduced you to Wax Motif just as he was making his mark on the scene. Skip ahead a couple years, and now he’s known for a slew of original mixes that showcase his creative production techniques. The wonder from down under gained some massive traction after a successful year on the 2015 festival circuit, and thankfully he’s stopping in our neck of the woods during his North American tour. If you’ve got a dancing bone in your body, hit play on the links below, and you’ll quickly understand why this show is one you’ll want to mark on your calendar!

The G–House OG makes a pit stop at M.I.A. in Vancouver on January 30 before returning to the coast for February 19 at Sugar; which just so happens to mark the debut of Wax Motif in Victoria. Last but not least, residents of Seattle can get their dose of future house the very next night as he takes over the decks at Foundation with his signature sound!

Forget everything you knew about house music, because Wax Motif is set to rewrite the book on it. Tickets are available for the Vancouver, Victoria, and Seattle shows by clicking on the respective links, but they won’t last long. Get ‘em while they’re hot to ensure your spot on the dance floor, and if you see the DMNW team in your respective city, come say hello! We love new friends.
