Over the last several months, the dark lord of dubstep SVDDEN DEATH has been reposting several songs and posts from an account named yvm3. It’s unclear who is behind the tracks, whether it’s another SVDDEN DEATH alias or part of a larger group project. This unknown music project has been building a lot of suspense, with cryptic tweets and seemingly randomly posted songs that are impressive, to say the least.
It has been rumored that SVDDEN DEATH may be involved in the project along with two other DJs, creating a trio, hence the three-letter title and the number 3. The other two DJs mentioned are speculated to be Yakz and Maruada. Combined with SVDDEN DEATH’s alternative project Voyd, it creates the acronym YVM. However, no official statement has been made on the details of the project itself.
The yvm3 project appears to be a dubstep-driven project with distinct death metal influences. SVDDEN DEATH has showcased the project’s unreleased songs live on several occasions including Lost Lands and at his own festival, Summoning of the Eclipse.
On January 17th, the yvm3 Twitter account posted a mysterious video of a woman sitting down, ending with a website, yvm3.net written across the screen. The website showed the same woman as the one in the video, who is also featured in many of the artist’s artwork. Beside the woman was a timer counting down to 9pm PST on January 19th. When the timer finally finished, the website redirected to the premiere of a music video for the song Deliverance.
