6. B2B Madness

Bass DJs have never been shy about teaming up to bring us awesome, heavy, and sometimes terrifying new music. In recent years, we’ve seen this proliferate into a live shows, with the best and brightest tag-teaming their sets. Just this last year at EDC, the Basspod was rife with insane b2bs, where we saw combined sets from 12th Planet/Protohype/Lumbervck, and Funtcase/Doctor P/Cookie Monsta among many others.

The trend even made its way to the PNW in 2016. USC’s Bass Academy featured a stacked b2b-heavy lineup that brought bassheads all the way out to the Tacoma Dome en masse. Paradiso ended up being more of the same too, and at one point rolled out the craziest b2b we’ve ever seen when Datsik, Excision, Jauz, Dion Timmer, and 12th Planet all joined forces at the Wreckage. Collaboration is the bedrock of creativity, and dubstep seems to have that covered in spades.
