Lettuce Turnip The Beet: Your Meal Guide For Festival Season

Our last recipe comes from the Tipsy Bartender. Granted this is not exactly healthy, but the morning after any festival can leave you with a serious hangover. The go to for a hangover has always been a Bloody Mary. Well the Tipsy Bartender has taken this one to a new level. It’s portable, easy, and unique. Why on earth would you want to deal with all that mixing in the morning while you’re hurting?! Never fear, the Bloody Mary Jello Shot is here! Plus there is a YouTube video for this one. No need to read. But just in case, we’ve added the instructions below.

The Bloody Mary Jello Shot:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rBbnCve29rQ&feature=youtu.be

  • 1 cup tomato juice
  • 1/4 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • Dashes of Tabasco and Worcestershire sauce to taste
  • 2 packets of unflavored gelatin
  • 3/4 cup vodka
  • Celery sticks

Combine tomato juice and spices in a pot. Add gelatin over the top, allow to sit briefly, turn stove to medium heat and stir until dissolved. Once dissolved, allow to cool for at least one minute before adding the vodka to the mixture. After leaving the mixture to rest for at least 3 minutes, carefully pour into celery sticks that are fastened in place. Let sticks set in the fridge for at least four hours. Cut into approx. 2-inch (5 cm) bite sized pieces, or serve a full celery stick in your favorite Bloody Mary Cocktail!

We hope that this has helped you out in some way, so that you can have a fun and (somewhat) healthy weekend! Don’t feel like you need to stick to these recipes. Freestyle with them and make them your own! What are some of the things you do to stay relatively healthy throughout the festival weekend? Tell us in the comments below.

Phillip was raised on so many different genres of music, it has given him a unique perspective into the ever evolving music scene. Trance music began defining his life at the young age of 14, but thoroughly enjoys any type of music equally. He sees the music as an escape from the daily doldrums of life and says music can change a persons life in an instant pulling from his own experiences. His only goal in life is to share wonderful music with people and take electronic music to a higher plain with more accountability and creating a safer environment for his friends.
