What may be the most iconic and divine aspect of Summer Meltdown Festival is the location. Any major festival can boast a bountiful lineup, stage production and more, but what sets Summer Meltdown apart is the festival grounds. No concrete jungle and overbearing sun here; rather, an abundance of shady trees, an open sky, tranquil river access and the breathtaking view of Whitehorse Mountain peak.

For the last 8 years, we have held the festival in Darrington, Washington, in what I consider to be one of the most gorgeous settings in the world.  We all dance beneath the awe-inspiring peak of Whitehorse Mountain and cool off by the winding banks of the Stillaguamish River.  Everyone camps under a shady canopy of trees at night so no one gets cooked out of their tents like at so many events.  The perfect beauty of the place literally takes my breath away, even after all of these years. – Josh Clauson
