A Look Inside Summer Meltdown Festival With Founder Josh Clauson

[divider]Growing Organically[/divider]

Many other festivals are quite literally created overnight by corporate funding and major brand sponsors. Not Summer Meltdown. This grassroots festival has grown the old fashioned way, by festival-goers and artists alike sharing their experience with others. With community involvement, the local support has been a major player in the rising success of the festival and it’s vision to provide a rare and unique experience of music, art, and togetherness. Sponsorship comes from Northwest businesses including Nectar Lounge, Deschutes Brewery, The Stranger, and do206.com.

One of the main reasons Meltdown has such staying power is that our growth has happened organically.  We started small from the grassroots and built a family that’s allowed us to increase our numbers and our level of production based on realness, not hype. It comes down to keeping authentic vibes and really living the magic of the festival each year as we expand our vision to include larger acts and a growing group of friends. – Josh Clauson
