A Look Inside Summer Meltdown Festival With Founder Josh Clauson

[divider]Staying Grounded[/divider]

While other festivals expand and lose their distinct identity to commercial popularity, Summer Meltdown Festival stays true to its roots by continuing to be the “biggest little festival in the Northwest”. Expect to see top-of-the-line production with more world-renowned musical acts, but don’t expect the sense of community and small-town hospitality to be lost among the growth, it’s fueling the growth; it’s deeply rooted in the foundation of the festival and its creators, many of whom have been there since the beginning.

Things have evolved over the years, but many of the original members are still in place, which feels so great. It means we’re doing something right. I’m really lucky to have a talented group of seasoned veterans involved in hosting Summer Meltdown every year, and I also really value the infusion of new energy and ideas. We have a reputation for quality music and good people that can’t be argued with – many “Meltdowners” have been involved in the festival for over a decade now, and each year they count down the days like it’s their birthday.  We’re all proud of what we built together, and proud to celebrate and welcome more family to the festival. -Josh Clauson
